Latin America/Caribbean and Asia/Pacific Economics and Business Association - LAEBA
Updated 3 June 2008
A professional association has been launched--the Latin America/Caribbean and Asia/Pacific Economics and Business Association (LAEBA)--to encourage comparative research on the business
economics of the regions and enable researchers to exchange ideas, discuss current research, and cooperate
with policymakers and the private sector.
On 17 March 2001, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and ADB signed a partnership agreement
which has subsequently been extended. The initiatives and activities under the agreement are designed to provide a
practical way of sharing information and exchanging expertise, as well as building a long-term
strategic relationship between the two institutions.
